How long can a 1,024Wh power station run a refrigerator?

Original specification analysis and calculated examples. We have not physically tested these products. Calculations are estimates, not measured performance.

Use the refrigerator’s average energy consumption, not just its compressor watt rating.

Calculate from daily energy

Estimated hours = battery Wh × assumed usable fraction ÷ refrigerator daily Wh × 24. For a 1,024Wh battery and an illustrative 85% usable fraction, the available energy in this simplified model is 870.4Wh.

Calculated examples for the refrigerator alone; 85% usable energy assumed
Assumed refrigerator consumptionAverage loadEstimated hours
600Wh/day25W34.8 hours
1,000Wh/day41.7W20.9 hours
1,500Wh/day62.5W13.9 hours
2,000Wh/day83.3W10.4 hours

These are assumed energy budgets, not ratings for particular refrigerators. They do not include other devices or guarantee actual runtime. At a lower 70% usable assumption, the 1,000Wh/day example becomes about 17.2 hours.

Find a useful consumption figure

A compatible plug-in energy meter used over a representative period is more informative than a single watt reading. If the appliance label lists annual kWh, multiply by 1,000 and divide by 365 for a rough daily Wh figure. Actual use can differ with ambient temperature, door openings, defrost cycles and settings.

Check starting power separately

Even a fridge with low average energy can need a brief higher load to start. Check its electrical requirements and the exact power station manual, voltage, continuous and startup ratings. Energy math cannot prove the compressor will start.

Plan for an outage

Choose a reserve rather than relying on the last calculated hour. Confirm your recharge source, include every other connected device, and test your actual setup before relying on it. Recalculate with the runtime calculator using average watts, or use the device planner for multiple loads.

Where the BLUETTI fits

The Elite 100 V2 is in the 1,024Wh class. Its published 1,800W continuous AC rating is a separate limit, not a promise of all-day fridge backup. Read the model buying notes and check compatibility.
